Michael Tickner and Alice Tickner were invited to the opening of the newly renovated BC Sports Hall Of Fame. It was a lovely evening and you can see Michael's artwork around the letter from John Furlong and Jack Poole to the IOC Members, in the first case right beside the entrance. Below are three pictures from the evening. We had the privilege of meeting many of the British Columbian Olympians. And we would highly recommend that you take your family and go to see it. They have done a wonderful job of the renovations and displays.

LIONS BAY ART GALLERY is pleased to have two new Watercolours of Helen Downing Hunter's that are a summer and winter painting of the same scene. These two images are both going into print, making the originals even more valuable than normal. Go to Helen's page to see the prices and sizes, both of the Originals and the limited edition prints.

"Garibaldi in July" and "Garibaldi in January" by Helen D. Hunter

The Spring 2012 issue of gallerieswest magazine has featured the LIONS BAY ART GALLERY and owner on the investment value of Michael Tickner's paintings.

We are also pleased to announce that Michael Tickner's art has been used as part of the "British Columbia Necklace Project". You can see four of his images on one of the pillars outside of the skytrain station in Richmond at No. 3 Road and the cross street being Cambie St. These pictures were taken in the daylight and we haven't had a chance to get down there and see it at night yet, but we are looking forward to doing that as we're sure they will look even more awesome being backlit at night.

LIONS BAY ART GALLERY is a little British Columbian treasure, in the middle of a spectacular scenic drive. At Lions Bay, 7 minutes north of Horseshoe Bay on the Squamish/Whistler highway, take the second exit (Lions Bay Avenue), turn right up the hill, then follow the blue and white signs that say "Gallery", "Cafe" and "Store". The Gallery is at the far end of the little shopping centre. Located only half an hour from downtown, the Gallery is more than happy to deliver work to homes or offices for people to see. Lions Bay Art Gallery features a beautiful selection of paintings and prints from the talent of both established and emerging artists. They have the exclusive on Michael Tickner, Helen Downing Hunter and Tina Flux's paintings. The gallery features a wonderful selection of mainly landscape art and it is easy to fall in love with many of the featured works. They also have a lovely selection of gifts that are also "All Canadian."

They accept Visa, Mastercard, debit, and cheques.
